FOR just two hours people in Bicester got to live the dream by sitting in a Formula One racing car.

The Marussia F1 show car was parked outside the Sue Ryder Charity shop, Sheep Street, to give its fundraising a boost by £1,300.

More than 50 people also had their photograph taken while sitting in the driving seat, including Harvey Marshall, 15. Shop volunteer Harvey said: “It was definitely different from usual, more people came in and everyone was getting involved. Having the car there was great.”

Shop manager Carol Vacher said: “There was a lot of interest even as it was being unloaded from the trailer.

“Lots of questions were being asked of the guys there.

“The atmosphere throughtout the two hours was absolutely fabulous.”
