7:00am Friday 23rd August 2013 in News
SIXTEEN years ago, Ellie Hubbert was diagnosed with cerebral palsy.
Her parents were not expecting her to survive but yesterday she received one A, one B and six Cs in her GCSE results.
Mum Diane Hubbert, 47, from Witney, said: “She has put in so much hard work and achieved beyond her wildest dreams. I’m very proud of her.
“She continues to keep striving and achieving. It is a credit to her.
“She was in intensive care when she was born, and now to be achieving what she is achieving is amazing.
“We did not think she would be able to walk or talk or anything, and now look at what she is achieving.”
Ellie, 16, said: “I’m pleased with my results.
“I was not expecting to do so well at all.
“It has been hard.”
She now plans to stay on at Burford School to study PE, psychology and business studies for her A-Levels.
