A UNIT that has remained empty since Witney’s £50m Marriotts Walk Shopping Centre opened four years ago has finally been let.
Cotton Traders began fitting out unit 1B on Tuesday. The shop is set to open in the first or second week of September.
The centre already includes stores like Debenhams and Marks & Spencer. Centre manager Lynne Shawyer said: “We’re excited that Cotton Traders has chosen to open a new store. It has amazed us that this good-sized unit has remained empty since the centre was built.”
Malcolm McNeill, of Cotton Traders, said: “We’re looking to expand into more traditional English market towns. We’re Middle England personified.
“We’re also pleased to be opening close to RAF Brize Norton, because we have a strong link with Help for Heroes.”
