A MAN convicted of two charges of rape has also admitted an attempted robbery.
Liam Pipkin, formerly of Boundary Brook Road, Oxford, was found guilty of assault by battery and two charges of rape between June 1 and September 6 last year.
A jury convicted him after a trial in April at Oxford Crown Court in which his victim gave a tearful account of being punched in the face, head and body, and then raped.
The woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, told the jury during the trial: “I was scared of him, I had no choice but to let him do it.”
Appearing at the court yesterday, Pipkin also admitted attempting to rob Norman Evers in Oxford on February 12 last year.
He was remanded in custody and will be sentenced on September 12.
