OXON: A widow questioned why her husband died three days after heart surgery at an inquest yesterday.
Sergio Michieli had a coronary artery bypass graft at the John Radcliffe Hospital on February 5 this year.
The 76-year-old, from Jersey, was recovering when he vomited and died three days after the operation from complications.
Mr Salter gave a narrative verdict and said: “Mr Michieli underwent elective surgery at the John Radcliffe for coronary artery bypass grafting.” He said he died “due to a rare but indirect complication from the surgery.”
