S OXON: A tattoo artist cleared of sexually assaulting a teenage girl has had the final charge against him dropped.
Jamie Gardiner, 31, right, was cleared on August 21 of two counts of indecent assault against a girl in December 2011 and April 2012.
A jury did not reach a verdict on another charge of administering a noxious or poisonous substance with intent, which jurors were told was diazepam to make her “less able to resist his advances”.
Prosecutors yesterday offered no evidence to pursue him again over this charge.
Gardiner, of Colwell Road, Berinsfield admitted possessing the class C drug at his trial, for which he was yesterday given a conditional discharge and costs of £85 at Oxford Crown Court.
