Clarkson back on plan
10:00am Saturday 31st August 2013 in News
MOTORING writer and Top Gear TV presenter Jeremy Clarkson is on course to build a six-bedroom home in West Oxfordshire after no objections were received to his application for renewal of planning consent.
Planning permission was granted for the project in 2010 but lapsed earlier this year as work on the site had not been started.
Mr Clarkson applied last month to renew the consent to demolish and replace the existing five-bedroom farmhouse at Curdlehill Farm, just north of Chadlington.
The new house, which he wants to call Diddly Squat Farm, would include an outdoor swimming pool and tennis courts.
A date for a decision on the scheme has yet to be set by West Oxfordshire District Council, which is still reviewing the proposals.
