55 drivers fined over seatbelts and phones

POLICE fined 55 drivers in Oxpens Road, Oxford, yesterday.
They stopped and fined 32 motorists for not wearing a seatbelt and caught 21 drivers using their mobile phones.
One driver had no MOT and another had no tax. They were all told to pay £100 or attend a course.
Yesterday the Oxford Mail reported that 35 drivers had been stopped in Botley Road for not wearing a seatbelt.
One woman was stopped for applying her make-up while driving.
