Shop is white with delight
2:10pm Wednesday 18th September 2013 in News
A CHARITY shop has been turned white with a gift of more than 45 wedding dresses.
The gowns were last week delivered to the CLIC Sargent store in London Road, Headington.
Shop manager Sharon Walton said the dresses, which came from another charity store in Devon, had been used for catwalk shows and displays and were all one-off designs.
She said: “The beauty of it is that some of these dresses are worth more than £1,000 but they are going for between £90 and £300.
“They have only been worn on the catwalk. Some of them are beautiful. They have got beads on them and a lot of work has gone into them.
“The upside is that all the profits from the gowns will go to children with cancer and their families.”
