Pupils give walls a lick of artwork
2:00pm Friday 20th September 2013 in News
PUPILS at an Oxfordshire school came back from the summer break to find their artwork had been framed and hung.
Larkmead School in Abingdon had children’s designs professionally produced and displayed around the school.
Sally-Anne Peck, 12, said: “It was an amazing experience and we had lots of fun doing all the different activities to come up with the designs.
“It’s great to see something we created hanging on the walls of the school for everyone to see.”
The artwork was the finishing touch to a £500,000 refurbishment project at the school.
In the last four years Larkmead has spent more than £1m on its sport, dance, art and ICT facilities.
Pupils have also contributed designs for the school refectory.
Anyone who wants to see the school’s new facilities and students’ art can do so at open days, on Thursday, October 3, at 6-8pm and Friday, October 4, from 9am to 1pm.
