Man in 20s dies in hospital after being found in Hinksey Park
A YOUNG man has died after he was found unconscious in Oxford's Hinksey Park this morning.
The man, thought to be in his 20s, was found near the tennis court end of the allotments at around 8.10am.
He is believed to have been lying where he was found for some hours and suffered injuries to his head and upper body.
He was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital where he died.
The man is yet to be formally identified and a police investigation is now under way.
A police spokesman said: "Police are appealing for any witnesses that were in the area of Hinksey Park last night and heard or saw anything that may assist with the investigation to contact Det Insp Paul Miller."
