Peter Wright, 56, of Plover Drive, Oxford, admitted assaulting a man by beating him at Plover Drive on September 13. Given a two-year conditional discharge and ordered to pay a victims’ surcharge of £15 and £85 costs.

Nathan Strong, 31, of Kingfisher Drive, Witney, admitted being drunk and disorderly in a public place, namely George Street, Oxford, on September 14. Fined £83 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Nicholas Austin, 37, of Newtown, Ipsden, near Wallingford, admitted entering a shed at a cottage at Ipsden Farm as a trespasser between May 10 and May 17, and stealing two pairs of knickers and a pair of scrubs. Given a community order with a curfew for two months. Offender to remain indoors between 10pm and 5am, and not to enter the boundaries of the cottage in question. Also ordered to pay £260 compensation, a £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Matthew Graham, 35, of Paradise Street, Oxford, admitted stealing groceries worth £68.07 from Walton Street Co-op in Oxford on June 16. Fined £30 and ordered to pay victims’ surcharge of £20.

Steven Blake, of Craven Way, Didcot, was convicted of failing to provide evidence regarding a motor vehicle offence to South Oxfordshire District Council between July 6 and September 4. Fined £110 and ordered to pay £100 costs and a victims’ surcharge of £20.
