FOLIAGE found at Harcourt Arboretum was turned into beautiful wreaths at a festive workshop run by the historic garden near Oxford.

Visitors were taught to make the traditional Christmas decorations from leaves, twigs and other things found at the arboretum, off the Oxford to Wallingford road near Nuneham Courtenay.

South Oxford resident and community dietician Nicola James-Moore, 49, was one of those who took part on Saturday at the gardens which are owned and run by Oxford University as part of the Botanic Garden.

She said: β€œI have made them at home before but it was great to have the opportunity to use lots of different foliage.

β€œIt was a lovely place to do it.”
