The jury in the Oxford Crown Court trial of a man accused of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl on a city bus has retired to consider its verdict.
Haroun Mahamat Akai – formerly of Evans Court, Kidlington, but now staying in Perth Road, Dundee, Scotland – has denied committing two counts of sexual assault on a bus in Banbury Road, Oxford, on August 12 this year.
The 30-year-old Chad national, who was studying English in Oxford at the time, admits kissing the complainant on the cheek, but denies stroking her leg.
The jury will continue deliberating this morning.
