South Oxfordshire District Council has been given £29,000 to improve air quality.
The council is one of more than 30 bodies in the UK to receive grants from the Government fund to improve air quality.
Local authorities will be required to provide a progress report by November next year and audit checks will be carried out to check how appropriately the money has been spent.
