I AGREE with the comments of Michael Lawrence regarding the state of the roads in the county and in particular the London Road. He is correct the council has a duty of care to those using this road.
If you travel by bus from Green Road toward Headington you are subject to being shaken, buffeted and bounced around in your seat. It is also impossible to hold a conversation. Surely there is a health and safety issue here.
The council should divert money spent on ‘vanity’ projects and meaningless surveys and get the London Road safe for all users. I know that local councillors have been pressing for action but as usual, it is the unelected highly paid mandarins in the council who call the shots.
