A 23-year-old Pakistani man faces deportation after immigration officers stopped a suspected sham wedding in Oxford.
The Home Office said the man, who was arrested at Oxford Register Office on Tidmarsh Lane last Thursday, was in the country illegally having overstayed his visa.
His would-be bride, a 24-year-old Portuguese woman, was questioned by officers but released.
