A man has admitted a racist attack in which he hit his victim over the head with a concrete block.
Daniel Walsh, of Marlborough Road, Banbury, pleaded guilty to one count of committing a racially aggravated assault causing actual bodily harm on April 5 this year. The 22-year-old attacked Ayjaz Hanif, a security guard at Banbury Foyer homeless shelter, while making references to his Pakistani background.
He will appear again at Oxford Crown Court to be sentenced next Thursday and was remanded in custody.
