In true festive style, this year’s senior citizen’s film festival ended in Hollywood style with a spectacular screening of Les Miserables.
And as has been the case every day this week of the Oxford Mail-sponsored festival, Oxford’s film-loving senior citizens gave it their full support.
Oxford Mail features editor Jeremy Smith, pictured centre, said: “This year, which is our eighth, has certainly been our most successful.”
The festival was co-sponsored by the Phoenix Picturehouse cinema in Walton Street, Jericho, which hosts the three-day festival, and Sainsbury’s stores in Kidlington and the Westgate, which kindly donate the Champagne, chocolates and a selection of gift vouchers.
