GRANDPARENTS who raise cash with impressive Christmas displays at their Northway home in Oxford every year have had their collection box stolen for the second time.

Martin and Debbie Scarrott, of 24a Northway Road, put up Christmas lights every year and collect money for charity.

So far this year they have raised £180 for Helen and Douglas House, and although not much was in the red box when it was stolen, Mr Scarrott, 48, said he was devastated.

He said: “It’s more the fact the box, which cost £20, had to be replaced, and we will lose the cash we would have collected that night.”

He said CCTV footage recorded the theft between 2.05pm and 2.10pm on Saturday.
