THE rush for Boxing Day bargains happens every year – so it should be no surprise when the streets and the stores fill with shoppers.
But inevitable though it may be, the dash for discounts often leaves many of us wishing for somewhere quiet and dark to escape the clamour.
Once again this year, Bicester Village was crammed full of people looking for a bargain. For locals, it can mean parking outside their own home becomes difficult, while venturing onto the roads can lead to chaos. Yet the retail park is popular for a reason: shoppers love it.
The centre may create headaches on the roads once again next Boxing Day – but those dashing out for designer goods will probably just take it on the chin.
