THE Wantage, Grove & District Twinning Association is extending an open invitation to join this year’s visit to Seesen, Germany.
Wantage’s German twin town is nestled in the Harz Mountains of Northern Germany The visit will run from July 3-12. Tourists will be taken by private coach from Wantage, and the ticket price includes ferry travel, overnight hotel accommodation on the outward and homeward journeys and one week’s stay as guests of German hosts in Seesen.
Tickets will cost between £350 and £400, depending on numbers.
German group chairman Graham Parker said: “Our German hosts are always hospitable and arrange a full programme of visits during our stay.
“We are always happy to welcome new friends of all ages and it is a chance to see a beautiful part of Germany and try out any German – although being able to speak the language is not at all necessary.“ Anyone who is interested and would like to join the trip can learn more by contacting association secretary Derek Verdin on 01235 764750 or verdind@btinternet.com
