Hunt is on for oldest former nursery pupil

First published in News

Lydalls Nursery School, Didcot, will celebrate its 70th birthday this year, making it the oldest early years provider in the town.

The nursery school in Lydalls Road is one of only six county council-run nursery schools in Oxfordshire with a headteacher, qualified school teachers, nursery nurses and a governing body.

Headteacher Rebecca Saunders said: “I know that generations of Didcot families have attended the school and have examples of grandmothers, mothers and daughters who have attended Lydalls.

“I’m now hoping to find the oldest Lydalls ex-pupil still living in Didcot. They could be 75 years old.”

The date for the celebrations has not yet been fixed, but Ms Saunders would like to hear from anyone interested in taking part.

Call the school on 01235 813137.
