A motorist has been found guilty of causing the death of a prison worker by careless driving.

Daniel Fallaw, of Peregrine Way, Bicester, went on trial at Oxford Crown Court after his silver Ford Escort collided with 48-year-old cyclist David Parris in Bicester on December 4, 2012.

The 36-year-old denied the offence but a jury yesterday took just one hour and 55 minutes to find him guilty.

He was released on bail and will be sentenced on February 13. See tomorrow’s Oxford Mail for a full report.
