Bypass accident left cyclist badly injured

Police said yesterday they would not reveal more details of an accident in Oxford which left a cyclist in hospital.

Police sealed off Kennington Road under the Southern Bypass in Oxford on Wednesday night following a serious accident involving a cyclist.

Paramedics were called to the scene at 8.38pm and found a male in his 40s who had come off his bike lying in the road.

He was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital and was described as being in a serious condition.
