YOUNG farmer Lauren Marriott is happy as a lamb in springtime.
Two of the first lambs have been born on a farm near Didcot which she and husband Dan took over four months ago.
While Mr Marriott, 33, has farming experience, Mrs Marriott, 28, is new to the sector.
She said: “It is amazing seeing these new lives coming into the world and to be a part of it.
“This is all new to me so it is very exciting and challenging.”
The two lambs are rare breed Oxford Downs, of which there are just 1,000 in the world and Mrs Marriott said that bringing up the numbers of an endangered species “makes you feel like you’re doing something good”.
