A woman has come forward and told police she was raped by a stranger in a field.

Police say she was attacked in the field near North Drive, Harwell, between 9.30pm and 11pm on Monday, December 2, and reported it this month.

The attacker has been described by police as 30 to 35 years-old, white with a tan and more than 6ft tall. He had short dark hair.

Det Insp Louise Roddy, from Abingdon Force CID, urged people to call 101.

She said: “We are in the early stages of this investigation, but I urge people to think back to December and if they have any information, however small, to contact us.”
