PEPPA Pig is looking perky thanks to a cash windfall for a specialist branding firm.
Kokomo, which designs and produces children’s toiletry products using a host of favourite characters, which also include Barbie and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, has managed to claim back more than £30,000 in research and development tax credits from the Government.
Kokomo’s claim, arranged by accountants Chantrey Vellacott DFK, includes the design of new bottles using a plastic injection moulding, body scrubs and bath salts.
Bruce Cox, finance director of Kokomo, which is based at Milton Hill, near Didcot, said: “What we do is very innovative and takes a lot of work, so we have definitely benefited from being able to claim these credits.
“It really reduces our corporation tax liability.”
