A cancer sufferer was found dead by his brother after collapsing in his own home, an inquest heard yesterday.

David Buckley was found in his living room in Lincoln Close, Bicester, by his brother Chris Preen on July 25 last year.

Oxfordshire Coroner’s Court heard the 62-year-old had been in declining health since his wife Gillian died four years ago. He also had pancreatic cancer.

The inquest heard Mr Preen became worried after he hadn’t heard from his brother in two weeks.

Pathologist Elizabeth Soilleux said: “I can’t see anything to say it wasn’t anything other than a natural cause of death.”

Thames Valley Police ruled out suspicious circumstances. Oxfordshire’s assistant coroner Nick Graham gave a verdict of unascertained natural causes.
