READERS can enjoy a free trial of the Oxford Mail+ app, which now boasts video match highlights from Oxford United and Oxford City.

We launched our app – a combination of the paper you know and love and our hugely successful website – last month, and there have already been more than 3,000 downloads.

Called Oxford Mail+, it offers your paper delivered directly to your tablet or smartphone to read with a whole host of extra embedded content we have added, such as videos, audio interviews and music, documents and picture galleries plus the latest news, weather and traffic information.

We have been able to add match highlights from both Oxford United and Oxford City, plus London Welsh. To celebrate, we are now offering readers the chance to try it out for a week before taking out a subscription.

Oxford Mail editor Simon O’Neill said: “Our readers have embraced the Oxford Mail+ app, which combines the best of sitting down to enjoy reading a newspaper with all the extra content that digital products offer.

“Even over its short history, Oxford Mail+ has grown in what it offers, especially in its video content.

“We are delighted to be able to bring you football and rugby highlights now, but there are things such as national news videos as well as coverage of some of the biggest sports tournaments in the world also on offer.
