The completion of Osney Lock will be delayed until the end of this month, the Environment Agency has revealed.
The lock will remain closed to boats as the smaller weir is replaced.
It is the second time the finish date has been put back. It was initially supposed to be completed by Christmas.
The Environment Agency said it was extending the closure because of the abnormally high river levels over January during the floods.
