TOURISM in West Oxfordshire raked in almost £270 million during the year of the London Olympics, latest figures show.
Tourism-related spending increased by three per cent, from £260.4m in 2011 to £268.2m in 2012.
It was the biggest increase in the county, figures from the Economic Impact of Tourism Study by Tourism South East showed.
The number of visitors to the district also rose in 2012 – up by 140,000 compared to 2011, bringing the total visitor numbers to 4.28 million.
