BEAUTY and the Beast came to life on the stage of the West Oxford Community Centre.
The cast of 38 residents of West Oxford played their parts in the four shows from January 23 to January 25.
Best friends Ellie Tullis-Hughes, 12, and Frankie Crombie, 14, both from Oatlands Road, stepped into the limelight in the lead roles.
Ellie, who played Belle, said: “The first night was really good. In one of the scenes, I forgot my lines a bit, but I just improvised. It was so much fun. I just love being on stage and there was a really good atmosphere.”
Frankie, who played the Beast, said: “Everyone really enjoyed themselves.”
The show was West Oxford Pantomime Association’s third.
