MORE than 1,000 school pupils were treated to a dazzling orchestral display.
The 1,200 secondary and primary children, from across Oxfordshire, were treated to a performance by the Oxfordshire County Youth Orchestra on Friday at the Sheldonian Theatre in Oxford.
Deputy head of the county music service Liz Stock said: “It is a tremondous opportunity for the children to see a full symphony orchestra playing. For a lot of children this would be the first time they would have seen something like this in such a spectacular venue.”
Eighteen schools – three secondary and 15 primary – attended the event including Enstone Primary School, West Kidlington Primary School, and Oxford’s Windmill Primary School.
