THE Sheriff of Nottingham and his two henchmen are hatching a plot to kill off the Babes in the Woods and cash in on their inheritance in Hanney Drama Group’s latest production.
The 23-strong cast will be performing the pantomime at Hanney War Memorial Hall tonight and tomorrow afternoon and evening.
Nigel Kilbey, 55, who plays the sheriff – with his guards John King and Mark King – joked he drew on his real-life experience as a will writer for the part, which sees the character trying to get his hands on the inheritance.
He said: “It is traditional, family fun, there are heroes to cheer, villains to boo and songs to sing.”
Tickets, costing £8 or £6 for concessions, are available from St James the Less House or Hanney Community Shop, both in East Hanney, or from Karon Gray by emailing karongray99@yahoo.com or calling 01235 868780.
