A six-year-old boy was last night fighting for his life after a collision with a car near Faringdon.
The boy was airlifted to Oxford’s John Radcliffe Hospital with life-threatening head injuries following the collision with a white Audi Q5 in Faringdon Road on Wednesday.
Police said the boy had just got off a bus when the accident happened at about 8.20am.
Pc Mike Woodward, of Thames Valley Police’s roads policing unit, urged witnesses to call 101 with information.
He said: “There were a number of people on the bus who may have witnessed the incident and may not have realised the serious nature of the collision and I would ask they come forward.”
