More than half the average rainfall for February in Oxford has fallen so far this month, according to geographers at Green Templeton College.
Dr Ian Ashpole said: “I would certainly say that we have had way over half of the expected monthly rainfall so far.
“For February, we expect about 60mm of rainfall.”
“On Thursday last week, we recorded 25mm of rain, which is nearly half of what we would normally expect for the month.”
