A 50-year-old admitted stealing three DVDs worth £56 from Asda in Wheatley, Oxford.

Colin Forbes, of Lower Radley, Radley admitted stealing property belonging to the store on December 28.

District judge Tim Pattinson was told Forbes was seen by a store detective ripping security tags off the items and putting them in his jacket.

Forbes told Oxford Magistrates’ Court yesterday: “I want to take responsibility for my actions, for what I have done.”

He was fined £140 with a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.
