FIREFIGHTERS tackled a blaze at a house in Kestrel Crescent, Blackbird Leys, Oxford, this morning.
They were called to the property around 11.30am and when they arrived there was a large amount of smoke coming from the upstairs window with the fire spreading from the ground to first floor.
Crews were able to put the fire out before clearing the smoke from the house.
Watch Manager Will McPhail from Slade Park Fire Station said: "The fact that the occupants had their doors closed at the time of the fire, minimised the damage to the property and contained the fire to the room of origin and the bedroom above."
