A COUPLE from Bicester who tried unsuccessfuly for a baby for five years have revealed their new son Louie was conceived thanks to budget supermarket fertility drugs.

Little Louie Tapping was last night dubbed Britain’s first ‘Asda baby’.

He was born to proud parents Carla and Damian Tapping on November 28. The couple’s attempts to have a baby included an unsuccessful attempt at fertility treatment on the NHS. They saved about £800 by going to the supermarket chain for fertility drugs.

Mrs Tapping, 34, said the couple had never thought having a baby would be an issue because they both had healthy lifestyles.
