THESE mini movie makers are going wild for their first film festival.

Chalgrove Primary School pupils are among children from four schools who have been making movies for this year’s Wallingford Children’s Film Festival.

On Monday and Tuesday night, the young producers, actors and directors will attend a red carpet premiere of their films at the Wallingford Corn Exchange.

Chalgrove pupil Martha Gibbons, nine, said: “It is exciting because we are doing something different.

“I liked seeing people acting because it inspired me.”

Raffety Spiers, eight, said: “I really liked creating the costumes because some are funny.”

The four schools – St John’s Primary, Chalgrove Primary, The Treehouse School and South Stoke Primary – are competing for a chance to win £100 for the best film.

The audience members on the night will vote for their favourite film, along with two invited judges.

Chalgrove teacher Bee Hendry said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed guiding the children through this experience and seeing them grow in confidence.

“They have been so excited to do something different.”
