A man has been arrested in connection with a series of courier fraud offences, including one in Oxford.
The 62-year-old, from London, is on police bail until March 13 in connection with 18 offences in the Thames Valley during November and December last year.
Courier fraud involves mainly elderly and vulnerable people receiving telephone calls from someone pretending to be the police or their bank and tricking them into giving personal details to a courier who arrives later at their home.
The details are then used fraudulently without the victim’s knowledge.
