Oscar-winner Niv Adiri said he was starting to buckle under the weight of his top achievement on Sunday.

Mr Adiri, pictured second from left, of Wheatley, was part of the team who won in the category of Sound Mixing for the film Gravity.

He told the Oxford Mail: “I’m feeling very lucky and proud and have a sore arm from carrying the award around all night.”

Last month, the team also picked up a Bafta for their work on the movie.

Myron Blatz says...

People don't get involved in showbiz and films to fail - they do it for acclaim and recognition - in the same way as teams who compete in F1, Wimbledom, the Olympics or even the local pub darts match don't do so to come last - and nor do all those candidates who?have entered the political race oherwise known as the forthcoming local and MEP elections in May! Whilst most political candidates will be backed by a specific Party, they get chosen or want to Stand because they want to WIN - or in some 'safe' City Council Wards, because their Party has chosen them to get the Seat, even if they don't actually live in the Ward! Politics - just like showbiz, really!
