The older residents of Wallingford have been invited to a free showcase of local care services.
Bluebird care is organising the care fair at St Mary’s Church, in the market place, from 10am to midday on Tuesday, March 18.
It will include stalls from Royal British Legion Welfare, Wallingford Library, Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue and the Oxfordshire Transport and Access Group.
Bluebird care managing director Robert Mezo said: “Over-50s play an important part in society. “Not only have they contributed in previous years to the development of our communities but they also add greatly to the economy, and give hundreds of hours of voluntary time to community groups.
“We rely heavily on older people for all they do, not to mention the support they provide to younger family members by helping with grandchildren.”
There will be free tea, coffee and cake, and entertainment from local classical guitarist John Hobbs.
