FORMER Supergrass frontman Gaz Coombes and actor Simon Pegg are among the stars who are supporting Oxfam’s Lift Lives for Good campaign.

The celebrities took part in a photo shoot to highlight the campaign, which aims to show the life-changing work the charity does with poor people around the world.

Other famous faces who were snapped by renowned photographer Rankin include X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger, actress Anna Friel, singer Eliza Doolittle and TV presenters Miquita Oliver and Caroline Flack.

The images feature the stars being lifted, to echo the campaign message.

Mr Coombes from Wheatley, said: “I really believe in the great work Oxfam does all over the world.

“This campaign has a very positive message that I hope will resonate with people so that all the great work and changes to people’s lives can continue.

“In my own life, my children and music have always provided me with the most uplifting moments. They have totally changed my life for the good."

Mr Pegg, who starred in films Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, said: “Oxfam is an organisation I respect and wholeheartedly support because of its unassailable position as a force of good and change in the world.

“If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem and Oxfam is assuredly a solution to so many of humanity’s struggles.”
