Boost for tree project
Health staff joined a project to plant 1.3 million trees at NHS sites by planting 15 at Kidlington and Adderbury ambulance stations.
South Central Ambulance Service planted 15 trees at each site and six others in its area, covering Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire and Oxfordshire.
The planting of the fruit and broadleaf trees is part of the NHS Forest project to improve access to green spaces and encourage “greater social cohesion between NHS sites and the local community”.
