THE curtain may have fallen on Oxford’s most glamorous week of the year, but dedicated followers of fashion might not have to wait a full year for another haute couture fix.

Carl Anglim, director of Oxford Fashion Week 2014 hopes to be able to stage another extravaganza in the city in November if he can get enought support.

He revealed to the Oxford Mail: “This year, without a doubt, has been the best show we’ve ever done, on every level. We need to finish our review of this one first, but in the next couple of weeks we will be looking at what’s next,” he said.

“It makes sense to do two shows a year.

Mr Anglim added: “Designers all do two collections a year, one for spring, and one for winter, so we could reflect that.

“Also we have the interest. Our shows were sold out, so people clearly want to see it.

“If we can do it, and people want us to do it, why not?”

Meanwhile model Cara Kealy, who featured in the grand finale couture show at the Malmaison Hotel on Sunday, said: “It was amazing, it’s really a showstopping way to finish. The Couture Show is the best of the best, and the clothes were just absolutely beautiful.

It was a really diverse range of clothes, so each model looked really different.”
