THESE Girl Guides spent the day thinking about other Guides around the world — and apparently found it quite funny.

Guides everywhere spent the day on February 22 contemplating their international sisters on the Guides’ World Thinking Day.

Celebrated each year on the birthday of the founders of Guiding and Scouting, youngsters learn facts about Guiding in other countries and celebrate the tradition.

Ellie Hillsden, pictured left, and Emily Lindley of 2nd Wantage Brownies, joined 30 other Rainbows, Brownies and Guides from Wantage District at Snells Hall in East Hendred, where they had lunch together and took part in a treasure hunt and a street dance workshop.

Ellie, eight, said: “I do freestyle dance and enjoyed trying street dance. It was tricky at first but we got it in the end.”

Emily, seven, said: “We came to celebrate our first Thinking Day and made treasure boxes and had a treasure hunt. It was fun.”

The dance workshop was made possible by Sainsbury's Active Kids vouchers that the District collected last year.
