  • Jaroslaw Milek, 46, of no fixed address, admitted stealing a pair of trousers worth £20 from British Home Stores in Castle Quay, Banbury, on March 10, and a wallet containing bank cards and money worth £30 in Castle Quay, Banbury, on March 11. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge.
  • Thomas Noble, 21, of Old Road, Headington, Oxford, admitted possessing cannabis, a Class B drug, at Banbury Police Station, in Warwick Road, on February 25. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay £85 costs and a £15 victims’ surcharge.
  • John Darcy, 47, of Hart Street, Oxford, admitted stealing fragrances worth £154 from Debenhams in Oxford on February 26. Given a six-month conditional discharge and told to pay £154 compensation and a £15 victims’ surcharge.
  • Kathryn Stanton, 28, of Marlborough Close, Faringdon, Oxford, admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause a person to fear unlawful violence or provoke unlawful violence and common assault in Market Place, Faringdon, on October 12. Given an eight-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months because it was a group action, a weapon was used and there were kicks to the head. Told to pay an £80 victims’ surcharge and £100 compensation.
  • Matthew Graham, 36, of Speedwell Street, Oxford, admitted stealing a printer worth £200 from Staples in Oxford on January 29. Also admitted failing to surrender to custody at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on February 24 and failing to comply with the requirements of a community order made on July 27 for theft by failing to attend a supervision appointment on February 14. Community order made with three-month drug rehabilitation requirement and supervision requirement. Told to pay £140 compensation and a £60 victims’ surcharge.
  • Daniel Webb, 30, of Didcot Road, Long Wittenham, near Abingdon, admitted stealing two bottles of champagne worth £81.98 from an off licence in Broadway, Didcot, on February 23. Fined £100 and told to pay £81.98 compensation, a £20 victims’ surcharge and £50 costs.
  • Simon Doyle, 35, of Masons Road, Headington, admitted an assault causing actual bodily harm and causing criminal damage to a pair of glasses in Old Road, Headington, on February 21. Given a 26-week prison sentence because it was a sustained domestic assault where the victim suffered multiple facial injuries and it took place in a public place while he was under the influence of alcohol. Restraining order made and told to pay £300 compensation.
  • Cornelius Romeo, 31, of Moorbank, Oxford, admitted failing to comply with the notification requirements of the sex offenders’ register after failing to complete his annual registration. Given a six-week prison sentence suspended for 18 months.
  • Julio Dos-Santos, 29, of no fixed address, admitted criminal damage to front door locks belonging to Catalyst Housing in Oxford on December 29. Given a 12-month conditional discharge. Told to pay £75 compensation, a £15 victims’ surcharge, and £85 costs.
  • James Lennon, 40, of no fixed abode, admitted failing to provide a sample for a test to determine whether or not he had Class A drugs in his body at St Aldate’s Police Station, Oxford, on November 13. Also admitted theft by finding after taking a £200 Nokia mobile phone from Yo Sushi in George Street, Oxford, on October 19. Also convicted of stealing a handbag and its contents worth £500 from The Purple Turtle in Frewin Court, Oxford, on November 27. Given a nine-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months. Told to pay a total of £650 compensation, an £80 victims’ surcharge and £100 costs.
  • Scott O’Regan, 30, of Croxford Gardens, Kidlington, admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause harassment, alarm or distress in South Avenue, Kidlington, on October 2. Community order made with a supervision requirement. Restraining order also made. Told to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £100 costs.
  • Marek Mendrok, 27, convicted of drink-driving in Holloway, Oxford, on November 30. Had 66 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Fined £490, a £49 victims’ surcharge and £615 costs. Banned from driving for 12 months.
  • Michael Casciaro, 50, Taphouse Avenue, Witney, was convicted of using a mobile phone while driving on the A40 at Cassington on October 24. Fined £200 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £65 costs. Licence endorsed.

  • Neal Webb, 34, of Oxford Hill, Witney, admitted speeding over the 30mph limit on Aynho Road, Adderbury, on July 30. Fined £60 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £65 costs. Licence endorsed with three points.
  • Samantha Halliday, 22, of Church Close, Weston-on-the-green, near Bicester, admitted stealing £170.99 worth of aftershave from Boots chemist in Cornmarket Street, Oxford, on February 24. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £35 costs.
