Car parking charges at the Old High Street and St Leonard’s Road car parks in Headington will rise from today.

The rates for stays up to two hours will rise from £1.30 to £1.40, while rates for two to three hour stays will rise from £3.10 to £3.20. The price for three to four hour stays will increase by 10p to £5.20.

Deputy leader of Oxford City Council Ed Turner said: “Overall car park charges in Oxford will increase around the level of inflation; there are some reductions proposed at Westgate, and the percentage increase will vary because of the need to have a round number on the charge.”
